Cantley Staithe

CANTLEY STAITHE CHARITABLE ASSOCIATION AND CANTLEY PARISH COUNCIL

This statement is made by the Trustees of the Charity as at 2018 at the point of handing over to the Parish Council and the Parish Council in their assumed role of Sole Trustees.

It has recently been brought to our attention, following an administration review by the newly appointed Parish Clerk, that the process of handover undertaken in 2018 had not met the minimum recording requirements or carried out the resolutions to formally amend the Charities Governing Document to reflect the proposed changes.

Advice has been sought from Community Action Norfolk (CAN) who specialise in supporting charities and Parish Councils in their function.  A plan of action has been recommended by CAN to resolve the situation and bring all matters up to date and within the correct legal framework.

As such, the original Trustees have been contacted and the situation explained in order to reform and resolve the situation.

A meeting will take place on Wednesday 22nd May @ 5.30pm at Cantley Village Hall and all members of the Community are invited to attend.  An agenda of the business to be conducted is on the relevant page of the website.
